Prior to that, she practiced in Elgin for 5 years. Dr. Melton had the privilege of training with Dr. Jon A. Sunderlage, a leader in the acupuncture community and her mentor.

Dr. Melton is a 1997 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. She is a Licensed Chiropractic Physician and Acupuncturist in the State of Illinois.

Through her post-graduate studies, Dr. Melton has further studied acupuncture and obtained a Fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. She, additionally, has studied Chiropractic Care for Pre-natal and Pediatrics and obtained Certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and the Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics, as well as Webster Technique Certification, which is a safe means to restoring proper pelvic balance and function during pregnancy. Dr. Melton has additionally studied Complementary Alternative Medical options for children with neurodevelopmental disorders through Intersect4Kids.

Dr. Melton enjoys being able to assist people in their healing process. While she treats people with a multitude of health conditions ranging from headaches, pain, digestive stress, etc., she specializes in care for the entire family starting with pre-natal & pediatrics.
