Frequently asked questions:

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required varies with the severity of the ailment and the patient’s response to therapy. Our goal is to get you as well as we can, as quick as we can. In order to achieve this, you must maintain your recommended treatment plan. To remain free of symptoms, a check-up is recommended, minimally every three to four months.

How will I feel after receiving care?
This, too, varies individually. Some people feel immediate improvement in their conditions but the chief complaint may resurface in a day or two. That is why care is more frequent in the beginning. Each treatment builds on the previous treatment. Occasionally, some people may feel fatigue after their treatment with relief shortly following. Again, each person’s reaction is dependent on their history & chief complaint. Most people respond well to receiving chiropractic & acupuncture care by showing pain relief, increased energy, better sleep & overall wellness.

How much does treatment cost?
Our current cash rates are as follows:

Consultation: FREE
Initial Examination: $40
Chiropractic & Acupuncture Treatment: $60
Chiropractic OR Acupuncture Treatment: $45
Student Rate (Chiropractic & Acupuncture): $45
Re-Examination: $25
One–hour Massage: $60
Half-hour Massage: $35

If you are a BlueCross/BlueShield member, your cost would be dependent on your benefits. Please call us and provide us your membership information and we will find out what your out of pocket cost would be (if you have a co-pay or deductible).

Do you accept insurance?
We are currently only providers for BlueCross/BlueShield Insurance. We also submit Medicare for those clients eligible for medicare benefits. However, we do not accept medicare. Medicare will reimburse you directly for qualified services received.

Why don’t you accept my insurance?
The insurance field is mind-boggling. Due to all of the different insurance companies and plans it is too time consuming and costly for our office to accept multiple insurance plans at this time. We pride ourselves with offering quality healthcare at an affordable cost. If we accepted other insurance plans it would cause us to have to raise our prices due to the amount of increased work required.

We provide you with a superbill with all the information required for an insurance company. Simply mail a copy of the superbill (you receive 2 copies) to your insurance company. They will reimburse you directly for any qualified services received. We will assist you with any requirements from your insurance to assist you in the receiving benefits you are eligible to receive.

Is Chiropractic care safe during pregnancy and for infants/children?
Most definitely. These are some of the most important times in life to receive chiropractic care. Dr. Melton has taken post-graduate studies through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to assist in providing quality care to these individuals. Dr. Melton is also certified in the Webster Technique which is a technique provided during prenatal care.
